Describe Yourself?
I'm a very dedicated individual who loves to learn about new things. I become very passionate about stuff, like the environment, and never stop learning and passing on information to those around me. I do not, however, see myself as a know-it-all. I am calm and willing to listen to what others have to say... in fact I thoroughly enjoy it (unlike most). I love meeting new people and just hanging out and talking. Because of this, I am very social and approachable and encourage anyone to come right up and introduce himself or herself. P.S. I love correct english.
Any Interests / Activities?
Being Active on Rowan's Campus Trying New Things Film Editing and Production Striving for Greek Unity and a Better Greek Image Road Tripping (mostly for Weird NJ and other chapters) Running Long Distances Older Movies Chilling Out Crashing the Delsea Drive-In Student Recycling Team Glassboro Environmental Organization
Why Did You Join Phi Kappa Psi?
Because "frats" are dumb. I never intended to rush, let alone join any Greek organization. It was my cousin who convinced me to at least meet the brothers and just talk with them. After just a short while, I realized how much more there was to Phi Kappa Psi than a bunch of drunken idiots. The mere fractions I saw of brotherhood, community involvement, and motivation were enough to convince me that this was not only the place for me, but also one of the biggest opportunities of my life. Each day that passes just further adds to my reasons for joing Phi Kappa Psi.
Favorite Moment as a Brother?
Any service event that last longer than four hours. During these long stretches of the great joy of serving others, there is also a whole lot of brotherhood that emerges. Amidst the awe-inspiring act of volunteering to aid in a cause, there is plenty of laughter, fun, respect, and just internal happiness that just permeates throughout our group. This feeling is what comprises the best moments as a brother.
Any Additional Comments?
Phi Kappa Psi is a great way to redefine yourself without trying to fit a mold. The strengths that are offered here are all merely internal ones, but are embellished by the support of a local and national brotherhood of honorable men of similar character. This fraternity can make you realize a lot about yourself and can help focus your energy in a positive direction, all the while meeting new people and finding the very same people that will sit on your court in your wedding, or will be there holding you when a loved one dies, or will be a godparent to your newborn. Phi Kappa Psi will truly brighten your future, but it will start right here and now... if you only let it.
